Initial Management of Vein Disease
Initial consultation for vein disease will include initiation of compression socks with determination of customized compression therapy tailored to you.
The compression socks will aid by pushing the blood into the deep veins, allowing for more blood to return to the heart. Following compliance with compression therapy, if concerns persist, an ultrasound will be performed by certified vascular ultrasound technician who is highly skilled in the evaluation of venous disease.
Options for treatment will then be determined by your vascular specialist and may include continued compression therapy, venogram, venaseal, radiofrequency ablation, phlebectomy and/or cosmetic sclerotherapy.
Treatment of Spider Veins with Sclerotherapy
If you are primarily concerned with appearance, we will first rule out underlying vein disease. Initial screenings are typically covered by insurance, ensuring your vein health is properly evaluated before any cosmetic treatment is considered.
If no medical treatment is needed, we will then review your cosmetic options. Our team will always explain the costs of cosmetic procedures upfront, giving you clarity before moving forward.
For many patients, the most effective option is sclerotherapy. This quick, in-office treatment involves injecting a solution into the visible veins, causing them to contract and fade.
